Main purposes of the job

The Head of Procurement will set up and oversee the Planet Group procurement processes, as well as coordinate procurement departments for Planet Group subsidiaries. You will be responsible for the management, administration, and supervision of the Group acquisition programs and may be in charge of contracting key services and supplies at a global level.

Key tasks

  • Sourcing, negotiating and purchasing materials from local and overseas vendors
  • Evaluating vendors’ quotations to ensure that they are in line with the technical and commercial specifications required for projects
  • Advising both internally and externally on issues regarding purchasing Terms and Conditions
  • Being in charge of daily operational purchasing needs, such as planning, issuing and following up on PO delivery and shipment schedules
  • Resolving supply, quality, service and invoicing issues with vendors
  • Evaluating suppliers’ performance based on quality standards, delivery time and price and ensuring all the criteria are met according to organisational requirements and expectation
  • Taking responsibility for implementing internal procurement strategies to cater to high delivery and short lead time requirements

Qualifications

You will need a Master’s degree in a relevant field..

Skills/competencies

You will thrive when dealing with large groups, key management figures in the company and across different teams. As well as being able to build and assess these honestly and consistently, you will have strong negotiation skills. It is desirable that you are able to grow and maintain a strong network of suppliers.

Experience required

Essential

  • At least seven to ten years of experience in a Head of Procurement role
  •  Experience in the real estate and/or digital industries
  • Experience with coordinating teams at a global level

Desirable

  • Direct experience of procurement in India and Brazil
