Main purposes of the job

  • Operational and methodological support: definition, development and internal dissemination of best practices for the realization and management of social projects
  • Alignment of the Social Innovation objectives with Planet’s business strategy and Technological Innovation content
  • Definition of a Planet Operative Process for Social Innovation (S.I.)

Key tasks

  1. Operational and methodological support: definition, development and internal dissemination of best practices for the realization and management of social projects
    • Identification, development, and maintenance of the internal methodology for the development of programs and projects meeting the principles of social innovation;
    • Selection and management of social/civic design and community management tools;
    • Definition of internal procedures and standards on social innovation;
    • Management of the knowledge base (inherent to social innovation) accumulated internally by the projects in order to use them as Knowledge Management System (KMS).
  2. Alignment of the Social Innovation objectives with Planet’s business strategy and Technological Innovation content
    • Internal consultancy to project managers and project teams on organizational or methodological aspects;
    • Support for planning activities;
    • Recovery against project management anomalies.
  3. Definition of a Planet Operational Process for Social Innovation
    • Social Innovation Design:
      • Definition of the most appropriate process (method and tools) for the implementation of PLANET interventions, based on the requests from the S.I. and in accordance with the criteria of impact economy (project and intervention on a social management level – the smart city as an accelerator for best practices and civic economy)
    • Solution catalog organization:
      • organization of the solutions in the society macro area: structural, infrastructural (spaces,
        technologies, management and organizational tools)
      • introduction of social issues in the assessment method of the built environment (space as an
        element of influence on people’s life quality, the definition of criteria for assessing spatial quality)
    • Setting up a toolbox for social / community managers:
      • listening and exploring the work of PLANET social manager
      • observation and study of S.I. projects in which Planet is involved
      • identifying and defining the potential of the App as a management and organizational toolbox for social / community managers, and as aggregation tool for the communities: supporting the APP team in the definition of the elements of the App that can accelerate best practices and the civic economy

Qualifications

  • Master degree in Urban Sociology / Architecture (must)
  • Familiarity with Social Innovation Design (must)
  • Familiarity with business model and social innovation
  • Phd
  • Experience in qualitative research (must)
  • Experience in quantitative research (must)
  • Preferable knowledge of progressive urbanism
  • Languages skills: English, in particular with a good level of written and oral comprehension (must)
